Awake, so awake. Thoughts rushing through my mind, can’t get no sleep. Lying in my bed; awake, so awake. The waves drown out everything – and I drown in their monotonous sounds, rolling over rocks and stones; everything smoothes, everything gets wiped away, drawn away. I can’t stand them, yet I can never resist them. They call me, they pull me, they fascinate me. I don’t want to go, yet I go. Always going, keep going forward. Don’t look back, it’s not been long, I tell myself, and the waves keep calling.
